AL Central no longer a Comedy.

Week one is is done.

What a first week of Tribe baseball for 2006. After being blown out to start the season on national TV, the Tribe has rebounded and hasn't lost since.

Boone for MVP? Pronk for MVP? Blake for MVP? Grady for MVP? The list can go on from there.

I know first hand that it is way to early to try and figure out what the Tribe has in store for this season. But starting off with series victories over the White Sox and Twins is a MAJOR first step.

Here are a few things that will factor in for the 2006 season after the first week.

Pitching:
Damn good so far. C.C. may be out, but the rotation seems to be solid to start the season.
Jake Westbrook: 2- 0; ERA 1.98
Jason Johnson: 1-0; ERA 0.00
Guillermo Mota: ERA 0.00; IP 4.1.
Bob Wickman: 3-for-3 in save opportunities.

At the Plate:
Kicking some ass. Here are the stats after week 1:
Grady Sizemore: OBP .379; SLG 483; AVG .379
Jason Michaels: OBP .393; SLG .385 AVG .346
Travis Hafner: OBP .500; SLG .957 AVG .391

Early Predictions from TribeWatch:
The Tribe has started off on the right foot by showing that they plan on challening for the ALC title right from the start. They still need more of a killer mind set, but taking 5-out-of-6 in the first week against ALC opponents has sent a message. The Tribe can win it and TribeWatch says they will. 95 wins. Take it to the bank. The Tribe is back and so is the ALC. The Wildcard will also come from our division.
